About Advanced Training Concepts
Advanced Training Concepts is a fully equipped training facility and the premier Kettlebell Lifting facility in Charlotte. The foundation of Advanced Training Concepts training programs is building functional strength, speed, power, flexibility, coordination, and endurance through kettlebell training, body weight exercises and other modalities.
Through high intensity training programs and professional coaching we are consistently able to produce results. Advanced Training Concepts is in the business of training only those who have the motivation and desire to work hard for their results.
ATC is a private training facility. We are not a commercial gym. Please, there is never a good time to "drop in" or “come check it out", as you might drop in on someone's training session, consultation, or a class in progress. We value the partnerships we have with our members and also their time. Please make an appointment if you wish to visit our facility.
Cyrus Peterson, Owner and Coach
Cyrus Peterson Has over 20 years of experience in various forms of weightlifting and fitness. He has coached Olympic Weightlifting and Kettlebell Lifting athletes to national level and international level competitions. He is the owner and Head Coach of Advanced Training Concepts and the ATC Kettlebell Team. He is a World Kettlebell Club Master Trainer, one of a select few who has actually certify fitness professionals as World Kettlebell Club Fitness Trainers. Cyrus is also a continuing education provider for the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds the NASM – Performance Enhancement Specialist designation. Cyrus also holds the following certifications and professional education:
Cyrus is also a competitive Kettlebell athlete himself and practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a hobby . Cyrus started Advanced Training Concepts in 2008 with a goal of creating a unique training environment where the focus is on athletic development.

We are sposored by Vulcan Strength Training Systems, a leader in high quality Bumper Plates, Olympic Bars, Squat Stands, and Kettlebells.
